"READ THE BILL" RALLY AGAINST SENATE AMNESTY

 

 

The Senate will begin debate this week about S. 744, the Senate's 'Amnesty First, Border Security Maybe' bill. If passed, this bill will grant amnesty to 11 million illegal aliens, give out 33 million work visas, and cost American taxpayers over $6 trillion.

Thanks to your donations and faxes, CAPS will be delivering reading glasses to U.S. Senators insisting that they READ THE BILL (S 744, the immigraton-amnesty bill) and vote AGAINST amnesty. Afterwards, we will host a rally to show WHY they should read the bill.

WHO: Californians For Population Stabilization

 

WHEN: 11 a.m.  Tuesday, June 11, 2013

 

WHERE: Corner of 2^nd and C Streets, NE, near Senate Office Buildings, Washington, D.C.

 

WHY: To show most Senators why they need to read the bill: 

1. Border security. What will it look like if it’s amnesty first, border security later?
2. Joblessness.  What do you see happening if 33 million more foreign workers are given new, lifetime work permits over the next 10 years at a time when 20 million Americans are jobless?
3. Skyrocketing welfare costs. What is your vision of America’s future when taxpayers have to pay over $6 trillion in welfare for illegal aliens?

We will ask the Senate to please read the bill and tell us.

Visuals: 

• Posters with a photo of Sen. Rubio with eyeglasses drawn on his face.  "He needs reading glasses because apparently he has not read his own immigration bill."
•  Copy of S. 744 itself. It's a lot to read! Over 1,000 pages and weighing 26.6 lbs.
•  A bathroom scale for anyone wanting to weigh the bill for themselves.

 

Background: Californians for Population Stabilization is launching an ad campaign that accuses Sen. Rubio of needing reading glasses because apparently he has not read his own immigration bill.  The print advertising campaign launches tomorrow, Tuesday, June 11, on Facebook, in Washington, D.C. and in Florida. The ad shows Sen. Rubio with reading glasses drawn on his face, and asks readers to send him any extra eyeglasses to help clear things up.

 

Schedule:

9 a.m.  Supporters will meet at 2^nd and C Streets NE to deliver eyeglasses to each Senate office with a flier, "READ THE BILL."

 

11 – 12 noon: "READ THE BILL" Rally held at the corner of 2^nd and C Streets NE near the Senate buildings.  Please bring signs and posters.

Our Talk Radio Correspondent weighed in yesterday:

Friday, Laura Ingraham...said that she had heard the Zuckerberg immigration ads with Ryan and Rubio on "talk radio". She said that she didn't think they were running on her show and added: “I certainly hope they aren't”. She said she didn't want to make money that way. She said that immigration is by far the most important issue and that she is devoting more than 50% of her time to it. [In contrast, the Zuckerberg ads run at least twice an hour on the Limbaugh show, and I haven't heard him mention immigration since his return from vacation on Wednesday.]

Laura Ingraham – who has clearly emerged as the most important patriotic talk show host this Amnesty cycle - has raised the financial importance of the Zuckerberg Ad campaign before: Laura Ingraham: Zuckerberg Ad Revenue Silencing "Conservative" Talk Show Hosts. And I noted that Limbaugh had fallen silent before he went on vacation:  Has Rush Limbaugh Been Zuckerberged? May 24 2013.

But I believe Limbaugh is too strong financially to be much concerned about the Zuckerberg Ad revenues (although I hope he is charging these skunks a premium price). Furthermore he really understands this issue and can be excellent on it (if erratic).

I think the probability is that he is disgusted. Having taken a very brave stand - Cabal of Leftists and RINOs Attempt to Destroy Heritage Scholar Jason Richwine rushlimbaugh.com May 10, 2013 – he was hung out to dry by the cowardice of the Heritage Foundation and Jim DeMint.

And of course there are so many exciting scandals to discuss. There was a brief moment on Thursday when he curiously shied away from an articulate Amnesty caller: Why Illegals Want Citizenship RushLimbaugh.com June 06, 2013. To his credit he came back after the break he had abruptly declared to accurately say

…why would illegals want to become citizens?  It's called chain immigration.  They can bring in all their relatives without having to pay to have 'em snuck across the border.  They can increase their demands.

However he also said

I didn't get a chance to talk about Rubio may be pulling out of the Gang of Eight.  Not sure if that's true but we'll talk about it tomorrow.

which he did not.

All of us feel disgusted at this process. I hope Rush Limbaugh masters his feelings.

His country needs him.

Such is the market into which the evil Gang of 8 intend to introduce as many as 57 million new immigrants, taking much as half the growth in high tech jobs for instance.
