IRS HARASSED MORE THAN TEA PARTY GROUPS

A very interesting post from www.HelpSaveMaryland.org  about the IRS harrassing an immigration enforcement group. This follows this post about immigrant hate crimes against countries they move to. This follows this post about the release of illegal immigrant felons from prison by ICEThis follows this post about how to Report Illegal Immigrants! For more about what is happening in the nation now click here and you can read the two very interesting books that are shown HERE.

The IRS did give Help Save Maryland a hard time when we applied for our original C3 tax exempt status a few years ago. After a long delay, they initially rejected our application, but reversed their decision when we involved an attorney.

The attorney essentially submitted the same information that we provided in our application packet. God bless those IRS bureaucrats. Cost us a lot of time and money for that lawyer!

FEDERATION FOR IMMIGRATION REFORM - SUMS UP PROCESS USED TO PASS SENATE IMMIGRATION BILL OUT OF COMMITTEE

The Federation for American Immigration Reform (www.fairus.org - join if not a member) nicely described the process used to keep the Senate Amnesty Bill intact:

It was clear from the start that the Gang of Eight's bill was heavy on amnesty, light on enforcement. When given the chance to improve their bill, the Gang proved that they are all talk and no action.

Just take a look at some of the amendments voted down in committee:
  • Require the Southern border be under "effective control" for at least 6 months before amnesty applications can be processed. VOTED DOWN.

  • Require illegal aliens pay all back taxes, penalties, and fines before being handed legal status (amnesty). VOTED DOWN.

  • Require all businesses use a system (like E-Verify) to ensure that all new hires are legally able to work in the U.S. within 18 months. VOTED DOWN.

  • Affirm that state and local law enforcement can assist in the enforcement of federal immigration law (like Arizona). VOTED DOWN.

Time after time FAIR's allies in the Senate offered amendments to strengthen border security, enhance enforcement efforts and improve the bill. Time after time these efforts were VOTED DOWN.

THE BILL NOW HEADS TO THE FULL SENATE FOR DEBATE, PROBABLY EARLY NEXT MONTH.

FORTUNATELY, THE LEADERS IN THE HOUSE ARE IN NO RUSH TO AMNESTY!

"House Republicans find holes in immigration bill".
